A power love

Happens to all of us at some point,
Going through life pretending we are happy,
Yet living under other people’s shadows.
Too many whys and what ifs, whens and hows,
Too many disappointments even when we’ve really tried,
And a whole lot of things we are part of even though not so proud of.
Then ‘it’s going be alright’ we persuade ourselves,
And often the doubt just downright drowns the faith.

Relax your feet,
And be excited while you still can be,
Life’s too short to spend it asking too many questions,
He said you’re more beautiful than the lilies in the valley,
Take it as that because he is not a man to lie or change his mind.
If there’s one thing you should never forget,
It’s that you’ll never be alone.

Days go by and there’s almost nothing to look forward to,
Don’t know what the father you’ve never known,
Is going to say about paying your school fees,
Don’t know whether mother will be around long enough,
To hug you, to love you and keep that roof over your head.
You try to take control, to look forward to tomorrow, to stand tall,
But that only lasts a while and you fall back down,
On your face, and even harder every next time.

You’ve counted your blessings before,
So do it again.
You’ve been through worse and look how you turned out,
So you will definitely make it this time too.
The number’s not about to change,
The blessings are still going to overflow.
You know they bring back the smile even if just for a little while,
And take away all the tears so you can see clearly again,
So go ahead; count your blessings all over again.

I am relaxing my feet,
And getting excited because I know I can be,
Life’s too short so I’m done asking the questions.
I’m a reflection of him so I know I’m more beautiful than the lilies in the valley,
He told me so; He says it over and over again so I know it’s not a lie.
If there’s one thing I’ll hold on to no matter what,
It’s the fact that I will never be alone.

Mathew 6:27-29 (MSG)
Has anyone by fussing in front of the mirror ever gotten taller by so much as an inch? All this time and money wasted on fashion – do you think it makes that much difference? Instead of looking at the fashions, walk out into the fields and look at the wildflowers. They never primp or shop but have you ever seen color and design quite like it? The ten best-dressed men and women in the country look shabby alongside them.
